General Assemblies

General Assembly 2 (GA2)

The Second General Assembly (GA2) is known as the Economic and Financial Committee. It works towards the coordination and cooperation of the world on issues of global economic stability and on matters of global development and finance. The committee’s agenda includes the issues of sustainable economic development, international trade, and reforms of the financial policies of nations. While paying attention on the political side of economic governance world over, delegates will engage with the more abstract issues of economics. It is this committee which ties the general UN system with the specialized economic policy and hence makes it appropriate for average level delegates

United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA)

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) is the specialized international organization responsible for promoting global disarmament, arms control, and disarmament-related aspects of global security. The Office strives to diminish the threats and dangers of mass destruction and the excessive proliferation of conventional arms. Delegates will discuss issues related to the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, the militarization of new technologies, and the unlawful trade of arms and explosives. The committee also addresses the need for confidence-building and multilateral collaboration towards the sustaining of international peace and the elimination of arms. In the form of expert negotiations, delegates are tasked to perform an integrated analysis of the political, moral, and tactical aspects of the inverse relationship of an openly declared national policy of defense and the requirement for global security. Intermediate to expert delegates will help UNODA and the global disarmament community to think through and address their modern security issues.

The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC)

The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) is the primary international body responsible for setting food standards. It was created by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) and specializes in the protection of consumer health, the guarantees of the safety of food, and the fair practices of trade in food globally. The Commission writes food safety guidelines, codes of practice, standards, and writes revisions to the regulations of the Food and Agriculture Organization. These are scientifically based and recognized by the World Trade Organization (WTO) as international standards. Delegates of this committee will discuss issues of international relations in the realm of food safety and quality and its agriculture. The intersection of science, public health, and international relations makes this committee more technically oriented, providing delegates with the opportunity to engage in discourse of global significance.

Specialized Committees

Justice League

The Justice League committee presents an innovative and highly engaging simulation that blends diplomacy, ethics, and global crisis management within a fictional universe. Delegates will assume the roles of superheroes, government officials, or representatives of major international organizations, tasked with addressing extraordinary threats to global stability. Crises may range from interplanetary invasions and bioethical disasters to conflicts involving moral and political complexities. Participants must demonstrate adaptability, leadership, and creativity as they navigate intense debate, media scrutiny, and public accountability. The committee emphasizes problem-solving under pressure while encouraging collaboration between traditional diplomacy and unconventional heroism. Delegates will be challenged to explore the intersection of power, responsibility, and justice—balancing pragmatic decision-making with moral conviction. As one of the most fast-paced and intellectually stimulating simulations, the Justice League is reserved for advanced delegates seeking to test their negotiation, teamwork, and critical thinking skills in an imaginative global context

Federation of environmental organizations
(FEO)

The Federation of Environmental Organisations is a simulation of a coalition of NGOs, originally based on Sri Lanka’s real FEO, expanded to an global context. Here, delegates will role-play the members of the environmental or affiliated organisations. These members will devise and implement a mix of legal, financial, political, and social solutions to the environmental issue they have been assigned to. Delegates will pursue lobbying, policy advocacy, coalition building, and monitoring as a committee and will take into account the jurisdiction, scale, and resources of their organization, thereby presenting a refined problem in grassroots activism, environmental studies, and local politics. The drafts of the policy frameworks, agreements, and constituent working papers will outline the structure of the debates.

Congress of Vienna

Congress of Vienna – Advanced delegates
The Congress of Vienna covers the most important periods in diplomacy history. European Powers met in 1814–1815 to restore peace after the Napoleonic wars. Members of this advanced committee will take the role of historical figures and national representatives. They will be responsible for reassigning territory and forming new treaties. They will then decide the new Europe. This simulation will focus on advanced level strategy and the high stakes environment of real world negotiation. This simulation is a historical immersive experience that has a focus on strategic negotiation and advanced improvisation. They will be able to handle unexpected turns during the negotiation.

International Press Corps
(IPC)

The International Press Corps (IPC) is the official media representation of the conference; carrying out coverage, analysis, and reporting of the conference’s committee meetings. Delegates in this committee will take the role of reporters for leading media outlets by creating news stories, editorials, and releases. The IPC aims to highlight the importance of the intersection of journalism and diplomacy through the various forms of reporting, media ethics, and creative writing. This committee is designed to accommodate all experience levels, and aims to foster teamwork, analytical thinking, and the construction of narratives on international issues.
